Dog Training Collar with Wireless Remote M998dc Transmitter

I purchased the in ground package after buying the wireless system for our lake. The wireless signal was too small for our property but perfect for the lake and I wanted our dog (a 50 pound goldendoodle) to have the same collar so we stuck with . I was dragging my feet to install this because I had about 1,500 feet to lay. Well I finally decided that I didn't want to go the winter without it and the temps are dropping. I headed to my local tool rental place to see what they had because I've read the reviews where installation was the biggest hurdle. They actually had a "cable layer" which was a little gas powered self propelled machine that you spool the cable onto and it feeds it through a blade like device that has a spinning bit in front of it and you can set the depth to an inch or so. I laid 1,500 feet in about 4 hours and that included spooling up a run of twisted wire where I wanted to cancel the signal. It works great and he turns right around when it starts making noise. Very happy with this purchase. ...

This is the best thing I've ever purchased! I can let my cocker spaniel outside with a peace of mind. He was trained within days, and hasn't left the yard (without permission) in over a year! I had trouble with the collar, and I called the company. Within days I had a brand new collar without paying a dime. The collar beeps before it shocks the dog, so they have time to get back inside their zone without being shocked.

I've used one of these fences in every home I've owned. I also have installed these for my parents and sister. The entire process is relatively easy, you just have to really think about where you want your dogs to have access before you start laying the wire. My favorite way to install this is to attach it to a pre existing fence. I staple it to the fence about 1' high in order to be able to weed eat the fence line. I have buried it in the past and digging the trench is a pain but it's nice if you don't want to see the wire or if you don't have a physical fence. I've used both the regular and the "stubborn dog" version for many different dogs of many different sizes with good results. I will definitely repurchase if I move. ...

Such a great price and I was able to get it installed in 5 hours. We just used an edger tool but if you have several acres, it may be worth renting a cable installer tool. We have around 1/3 of an acre and followed the hourglass layout which allows the dog to be in the front or back yard, but requires them to go through the home when going from the front to back yard.Be careful when you take the cap off the collar to change the static level. My first time taking the cap off to change the static level, I used the tool and still stripped the cap. From that point on I had trouble getting the cap off and had to use pliers to get it off. I contacted and they were able to send me a replacement cap. A+ Customer service. I also purchased more replacement parts for the collar on here for only $6.99 for my own ease of mind. My recommendation is to buy a thicker wire than what it comes with.Training the dog was super easy. My dog got to the point of staying inside the perimeter with the tone only. I was nervous to use the static correction during Day 2, but quickly realized it was necessary as she ran through the fence to the neighbor on level 2. She didn’t even feel it on this level. I have a 12lb dog and level 3 correction level ended up working good for her. After a few days of walking the perimeter and being shocked a few times after we baited her with toys, she’s a little shy about being in the yard now but refuses to cross the fence. We can work on the shyness and can be expected. This is so worth your $$ and the is reliable and ready to help with any issues you may have. ...

I used this directly in front of my wood fence since my German Sheppards decided to start digging out and it works perfect. I have not had a problem with them digging since

Works well. I am not disappointed. Keeps my Golden from jumping the fence and getting to the highway. I keep it on the lowest shock possible, and I would rather have a little shock then a dog who has gotten hit by a car on the highway. And to answer the question some may ask....yes I have tested the first 3 levels of shock from the collar, and I would not use a level on my dog that I have not tested on myself.
