My cat kept escaping the patio area by climbing our wood fence so I decided to give this a try. I was scared it would be too aggressive since this is mainly catered towards dogs, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. We wired the fence at the top and mid-way to keep him from escaping. He is a big cat, so the collar doesn't look too goofy on him but if you have a small cat I would imagine it would be a little big. The the most difficult part of setup was having to drill our wall in order to keep the electrical components inside since they are NOT suitable to being outdoors. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. Tried the replacement collar when the one with my invisible fence one failed but it did not work. Got this system for less and only had to install the boxes and use the collar. Pretty straight forward and just reused the existing wiring loop that was there from my previous invisible fence system.

Bought this item to replace an older model which had recently died after about 5 years. This new one works great and synced perfectly with the existing collars. My only complaint is that this one does not have a "Break Alarm" to let you know if the loop is not functioning. So the only way to know is to actually look at the indicator lights. The alarm was a nice feature because the unit is not in a convenient location to glance at it, but this is a minor inconvenience. Just need to make a point to periodically check. ...

Not one to do reviews but this thing is awesome. I've been using the collars for about 3 months now. I have two German shepherds on an acre of land and they will not dare get close to the boundary line. I have it set to shock about 5 feet out from the line and they never get closer than 15 feet out. Its nice opening the back door and watching them run free without having to worry about them getting ran over.

This was a great solution to keeping our 2 dogs safe! We have the wireless fence, but it is limited to a basic circle. Even though it was the "basic" package it works great! Our puppies now have thr ability to use the entire yard! I tried to follow the complete learning process, but they didnt really care. We had 1 escape on level 2, (Oliver the sheepadoodle) chased a deer. but after putting it on level 4 we now have complete cooperation! (Winnie the jackapoo only needed level 2) I tested it on myself, and although it was not pleasant, it definitely wasnt painful or anything close to inhumane. I used an electric chainsaw to very quickly bury the wire! Saved SO much time and effort! I made additional flags from bamboo skewers and white duct tape. ...
